Floorball in S.M. All Saints

Time : 7:30am - 9:30am
Venue : S.M. All Saints Hall

It was a Tuesday morning and we had to arrive by 7am to setup goal cages, tables, pens, etc.

We were introducing floorball into S.M All Saints to the form 3 students that faithful morning. What an opportunity! What an early day it was too! Being typical Nomads that we are, we arrive with empty stomachs. Rule #1, never play floorball infront of a bunch of enthusiastic students AND teachers without nourishment. aka. breakfast.

Ofcourse things did not happen as planned too, for example ; all 100 students or so and atleast 3 teachers with laptops sitting with tables on stage, waiting for me to begin (the students are suppose to come in batches of 20s). Not to mention, my team were having difficult putting up the goal cages with the added pressure of 200 eye balls watching. Rule #2, HAVE A PLAN B.

So we started by introducing the rules:-
- high stick
- slashing, hooking, lifting
- between legs
- jumping
- diving
- pushing, holding, blocking
- dribbling with feet, heading
- FAQ

Rounded the first 12 enthusiastic bunch of guys and 12 skeptical bunch of girls, we did passes followed by the next group until the time when everyone was waiting for. GAME TIME!

The rest of the morning went very well with request from both students and teachers for us to continue playing till school finishes. Such a good offer but by looking at the time - 10am, we've gotta go to BREAK FAST. Also a good way to keep them joining us on Saturday nights for more.
